SEW102: Sewing Quick Totes
This class will lay the foundation for all future sewing classes. You will learn:
- Fabric Preparation and Cutting Techniques
- Hand Stitching
- Sewing a Straight Line
- Using a decorative stitch
- Adjusting the Stitch (Length & Width)
Project(s)
- Easy Tote Bag or Double Wine Tote
Required Materials
- ½ yard outer fabric
- ½ yard lining fabric
- 1 of the following for straps
- Cork – 4” wide and 22” long, or
- 2 yards of Cotton Webbing, or
- 2 yards of ½” rope, or
- 1 fat quarter of coordinating fabric & strips of batting
- 1 Spool of coordinating thread
- 14 sewing clips or Straight pins
